Little Missouri Saloon

Medora’s oldest Saloon & Steakhouse. Established as a place where local cowboys could hang their hats, this saloon is located in the heart of Medora and features blackjack, video gaming, and pull-tabs. Open year-round and specializing in beef, bison, and elk steaks, the historic Little Missouri Saloon also offers the largest selection of on-tap craft beers in the area.

Chateau de Mores

Chateau de Mores – This 26-room, two-story frame building was built in 1883 as the summer residence of the Marquis’s family. The Chateau is now a historic house museum and contains many of the original furnishings and personal effects of the de Mores family.

North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame

Now – December 8 | Daily | 9:00am-6:00pm

December 9 – April 30 | Closed

Medora’s history was built on the back of a horse. Experience the legends of cowboys, cowgirls, and Native Americans in this immersive museum experience.

South Unit Visitor Center

Daily | 9:00am-4:30pm

At the visitor center rangers can assist with trip planning, and issue backcountry permits. Theodore Roosevelt’s Maltese Cross Cabin, located just outside, is open for self-guided tours year-round. Ranger-led cabin tours are offered in the summer. The park film, Refuge of the American Spirit, is shown in the theater. A bookstore sells books, postcards, and more. A museum houses artifacts from Theodore Roosevelt’s presidency and time in the Badlands.

We are very well known for our Homemade Breakfast Sandwiches that we make fresh daily from 5:30am-9:00am. We also have a make-your-own sandwich & salad bar along with your average grab-and-go snacks.
