Bully Pulpit is chiseled right out of the North Dakota Badlands in a site unlike any in the world. A round here is one you won’t soon forget.

At Bully Pulpit Golf Course, you’ll find yourself fully immersed in the Badlands as you meander through meadows and woodlands, skirt along the Little Missouri River, and tee off from one butte to another.

Course Update: Temporary 16-Hole Layout

We’re making improvements at Bully Pulpit! Starting September 16th, holes 14, 15, & 16 will be closed for essential cart path construction. To facilitate this important work the course will shift to a 16-hole layout.

We know these holes are favorites for many of our guests, and we appreciate your patience as we work to enhance your experience on the course.

We are unable to accommodate extra golf cart requests. 1-2 player tee times come with 1 cart. 3-4 player tee times come with 2 carts. Thank you for your understanding as the game of golf becomes increasingly popular.

Cancellation Policy: cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations made 24 hours or less before a tee time will be subject to a fee.

COURSE RULES

USGA RULES GOVERN ALL PLAY

• All players must register in the golf shop.

• Keep golf cars on paths when by greens and tees.

• Golf cars must return to the paths 50 yards before greens.

• Golf cars are prohibited in the native and out-of-bounds areas.

• Golfers are prohibited in environmentally sensitive areas.

• Use caution while on elevated tees and golf car paths.

• Dress code enforced, proper golf attire must be worn.

• All players must have a set of clubs.

• All players are expected to repair ball marks, replace divots, and rake bunkers.

• Beverages and coolers not provided by Bully Pulpit are prohibited.

Cancellation Policy: cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made 24 hours or less before a tee time will be subject to a rebooking fee.

Coach Jesse Ward, PGA

Originally from New London, Wisconsin, Jesse discovered his passion for golf at 14, introduced to the game by his father. After playing on the high school golf team and working at his home course, he pursued a career in golf. Jesse enrolled in New Mexico State University’s Professional Golf Management Program, learning at facilities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, California, and North Dakota, earning his PGA (Class A) Membership in 2017. In 2021, he moved to Dallas, TX, becoming a full-time Teaching Professional. Jesse now brings his experience to Bully Pulpit Golf Course as Head Golf Professional, focusing on rhythm, balance, and patience in his teaching.

Bully Pulpit Golf Course is a rare golfing experience. Tee shots from Badlands butte to Badlands butte will take your breath away. Years ago, workers installed operating wells and submersible pumps. They created pads and roads and designed them to blend in with the surrounding area.

This is an astounding feat of engineering – a commitment to steward and conserve the natural splendor of these Badlands. It is also a testament to the skill of the women and men working in North Dakota’s oil and gas industry; an industry that employs thousands and generates billions in economic impact.
