All hikes leave from the first bench along the Point to Point Trails, about 200 yards up from the trailhead kiosk, just off of 6th street. You’ll know you’re there when you see Medora’s TR, Joe Wiegand.
Hikes depart shortly after 8:00am MDT. You’re welcome to catch up if you arrive late!

This hike lives up to TR’s famous 1899 speech “The Strenuous Life”. You’ll cross Coal Vein Canyon head up to Reclamation Point, Horse Stable Overlook, and eventually land on Schafer Point—the exact location Harold Schafer stood when he dreamed up this magical Medora. It’s a great out and back experience!
