Chateau de Morès’ 85th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate the opening of the Chateau de Morès as a State Historic Site on August 7, 1941.

Step back into the 1940s through music. Enjoy appetizers catered by L’Amour Bistro while socializing with other guests. History comes alive with dramatic performances of the correspondence between Louis Manca (son of the Marquis) and Russell Reid (former superintendent of the State Historical Society of North Dakota) as well as “Harry Roberts Remembers,” a one-man show about the Chateau’s first site supervisor.

Learn about the establishment and early years (1936-66) of the Chateau de Morès as a State Historic Site through dramatic performances of historical documents from this era.

This event is for ages 10 and up, and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
