LONG STORY SHORT

A LITTLE BACKGROUND BEHIND THE SHOW

  • For being 1,753 miles off Broadway, the Burning Hills Amphitheater is one iconic venue. It was carved into the hillside – known as Burning Gulch – by local volunteers in 1958.
  • “Teddy Roosevelt Rides Again” was the title of the show when it opened in 1965. It eventually evolved into the Medora Musical.
  • Prior to a 1992 remodel, the audience sat on wooden benches and often arrived hours before the showtime to get their preferred seat.
  • Over one hundred costumes are designed and constructed for the show each year.
  • More than 4 million folks have seen the Medora Musical. Talk about making history.
