Outdoor Adventure

These Badlands were made for good times. No matter how you explore – on two wheels, two feet or horseback – you’ll find plenty to do out here.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park

North Dakota’s “broken country” captured the imagination of Theodore Roosevelt in 1883, just like it captivates thousands of visitors today. These alien landscapes are harsh yet beautiful, equal parts unforgiving and majestic. They’re also home to critters large and small, including bison, elk, prairie dogs, and wild horses, along with more than 400 species of plants and wildflowers.

Shopping

Memories make the best souvenirs. Teddy Bears are a close second. See the shops and boutiques that make shopping offline fun in Medora.
