She spent eight years teaching First Tee lessons and working at Souris Valley Golf Course, and was part of Minot High School’s back-to-back state championship girls golf team. Danielle went on to play NCAA golf at Minot State University, earning a degree in Accounting, before completing law school at the University of North Dakota and becoming a tax and ESOP attorney at Atlas Legal Services.
In 2023, Danielle partnered with TRMF and founded the Medora Girls Golf Camp—her passion project—where she leads fundraising and oversees golf and leadership programming. She remains an active competitive golfer, winning the 2025 Beowulf Golf Club Championship and advancing to the PGA National Club Championship in Palm Springs.
Jesse Ward
Director of Medora Girls Golf Camp and Head Golf Professional at Bully Pulpit Golf Course
Originally from New London, Wisconsin, Jesse discovered his passion for golf at 14, introduced to the game by his father. After playing on the high school golf team and working at his home course, he pursued a career in golf. Jesse enrolled in New Mexico State University’s Professional Golf Management Program, learning at facilities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, California, and North Dakota, earning his PGA (Class A) Membership in 2017. In 2021, he moved to Dallas, TX, becoming a full-time Teaching Professional. Max Murphy
Director of Medora Girls Golf Camp and Assistant Golf Professional at Bully Pulpit Golf Course
Max is from Bismarck, ND and has a strong passion for teaching golf and growing the game. Max started taking golf seriously when he was working at Riverwood Golf Course his freshman year in high school. Max’s experience in teaching came in the summer of 2022 where he was the co-director of the DJGA (Dakota Junior Golf Association) program for Bismarck Parks and Rec. After graduating high school, he attended his dream school – Syracuse University in NY. While being there, he always knew he wanted to pursue a career in the golf industry. An opportunity arose to work at Seville Golf and Country Club in Gilbert, AZ. This is where Max spent the last two years where he enrolled into the PGA Associates Program and learned how to work major golf tournaments, golf operations, merchandising and teaching. Coming back to his home state in June, Max is settled in Medora and loves working with Jesse at Bully Pulpit Golf Course!

For those participating in the second annual Rough Riders Girls Golf Classic Tournament, you will receive a separate communication with your designated tee time. Tee times will start at 12:30 pm (Mountain) on Saturday, June 6. Please plan to arrive at Bully Pulpit Golf Course at 11:30am to check-in for the tournament and the camp. We will deliver any luggage or items you bring with you for the camp to the Badlands Motel where all campers will be staying.
Check-in for all other campers will be from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm (Mountain) in the lobby of the Badlands Motel. On Monday morning, each camper should bring their luggage to the lobby of the Badlands Motel before boarding the bus to the golf course. Camp staff will transport all their luggage to the golf course so it is available at the end of the camp where parents will pick up their camper.
We are excited to award three (3) $1,000 college scholarships at the end of the camp as part of driving, chipping and putting contests. To ensure that as many campers as possible have opportunities, once a camper wins a scholarship, they will not be eligible to win another scholarship in subsequent competitions during this year’s camp.
We prioritize the health and safety of all campers. Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions during the check-in process.
