Anne Christopherson:

Anne Christopherson enjoys a rewarding career as a performer, educator, and coach. Her “dazzlingly supple voice,” has been acclaimed in many genres in such venues as Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Symphony Space (NYC), the Banff Centre for the Arts, Opera di Lucca (Italy), Renmin University (Beijing), the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, and the Colorado Music FesPval. As a cabaret artist, Cabaret Scenes magazine lauded her “well-honed ability to convey emotion, tenderness, and poignancy…” in her one-woman show, I Hear Music, which premiered at The Duplex cabaret in NYC. Other cabaret performances include the Laurie Beechman Theatre, Don’t Tell Mama, 20 Below Cabaret, the NATS New England Region conference, and Sleepy Hollow Theatre Arts in Bismarck. Anne has also been a music and stage director for musicals and operas as well as a collaborative pianist and coach for choirs and classical and non-classical singers at the high school and collegiate levels and community theatre. She has given master classes in the U.S., Canada, and China and taught at the NYU Steinhardt Music, Culture and Human Development as a Visiting Professor as well as on the voice faculties for the International Music Camp in the Peace Gardens and Sleepy Hollow Theatre & Arts Park.

Justin Montigne

Justin Montigne:

Justin Montigne is an experienced vocal pedagogue and versatile singer. Dr. Montigne is currently an Assistant Professor of Voice at University of North Dakota, where he teaches voice lessons and diction for singers, and is Music Director of the yearly Musical Theatre Production. He spent fifteen years with the Grammy Award-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus in numerous roles, including a long tenure as Director of Voice Studies. Dr. Montigne has taught on the voice faculties of UC Davis, UC Berkeley, and Sonoma State University. He is a versatile performer fluent in many styles and eras of music. Dr. Montigne toured the world and recorded for three years with the Grammy Award-Winning men’s ensemble, Chanticleer, and was a founding member of Clerestory, curating more than forty different concert programs and recordings over fifteen seasons. He specializes in Baroque and early music, song recitals, ensemble singing, and has premiered numerous contemporary works.

Emily Cherry Oliver:

Emily Cherry Oliver is a Professor of Theatre and Department Chair at the University of North Dakota. She also serves as Region 5 Co-Chair for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. She has directed and performed in several productions academically and professionally including Three Days of Rain, Urinetown, Assassins, Silent Sky, Oklahoma, Mamma Mia, Much Ado About Nothing, Steel Magnolia, Spitfire Grill, and many others.

Emily Wirkus:

Emily is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at University of North Dakota (UND) and a freelance practitioner in acting, directing, and choreography. Some of their favorite credits with UND include Carrie: The Musical (director & choreographer), Unnecessary Farce (co-director & fight/intimacy choreographer), and The Conference of the Birds (assistant director & movement specialist). Outside of North Dakota, some of Emily’s favorite credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (featured ensemble, This Happy Breed/The Arts Asylum), Hairspray (Penny Pingleton/Dance Captain, Crossroads Repertory Theatre), and Boeing, Boeing (Gabriella, Crossroads Repertory Theatre). Emily holds a dual MFA in Acting and Directing from Western Illinois University, and a BFA in Musical Theatre from University of North Dakota. When they’re not working on the stage, you can catch them making a mean cup of coffee and hanging out with their two fur babies Peek & Persephone. Emily is so grateful to be a part of this creative team and proud to perform with them here in Medora; to all who helped facilitate and all who attend this performance – thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting live theatre in North Dakota!
