A Magical Medora Christmas
Touring across the region November 29 - December 22 AND LIVE in Medora with two shows on December 7!
This traveling holiday favorite from Medora features Badlands stars of the past and present bringing you some of the season's best music and a wonderful story for the entire family to enjoy. A Magical Medora Christmas tour brings 32 shows to 25 communities across North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Minnesota.
The tour is highlighted by two shows in historic Medora's Old Town Hall Theater, when we roll out the red, holiday carpet with Christmas Experience Packages featuring tickets to this great show, a wonderful holiday feast at the Rough Riders Hotel, and a festive overnight stay right here in the Badlands.
Medora's Old Fashioned Cowboy Christmas
It's Christmas... cowboy style! The prettiest town in North Dakota gets even prettier as we go all out and adorn it with lights and other Christmas decorations.
There will be live entertainment, the famous Eats on the Streets, hayrides, outhouse races, A Magical Medora Christmas Show and more! All in historic, downtown Medora.
Bold St. Nicks Winter Fat Bike Race
Be bold and brave the cold at the third annual Winter Fatbike Race in the North Dakota badlands. "Naughty" and "Nice" classes let you race a course that winds across the snow-covered Maah Daah Hey trail, over the Little Missouri River, and into downtown Medora for as many laps as you can get in during 1 or 4-hour rides.
Plus, hot cocoa, kids activities, hayrides, a Roast Beast Dinner that would make the Grinch jealous, and snuggly packages at the Rough Riders Hotel make this a one-of-a-kind weekend.
New Year's Steak and Lobster Event
Head out to Medora for a New Year's dinner at Theodore's Dining Room that is unlike anywhere else! The snow-capped Badlands and roaring fireplace at the Rough Riders Hotel makes for the perfect New Year's getaway or day trip.

Winter is a great time to explore the snow-capped Badlands!
Cross Country Ski, Snowshoe, or Fat Bike the Bully!
On top of all the special events, unique seasonal activities like snow snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, on fat biking along the groomed trails at Bully Pulpit Golf Course have become one of those "best-kept secrets" of winter in Medora.
We'll post a detailed trail map when the snow starts falling.
Or, spend a little time exploring the Chateau de Mores Interpretive Center. The man who founded Medora, and named it for his wife, has some really cool stories to be found at the interpretive center.
Explore TRNP under a blanket of snow!
Track down the wild horses, check out the bison, spend a little time exploring the Visitors Center in Medora or, for the brave adventurer, do a little winter camping in Cottonwood Campground. Theodore Roosevelt National Park hosts some remarkable sights!
