Cabins at the Medora Campground

Available mid or late May through mid September

One of the best ways to add a little flair to your Medora getaway is by staying in one of the cabins at the Medora campground!

Nestled along the Little Missouri River, these cabins make your Medora adventure feel a lot like Teddy Roosevelt's did way back when. They all have a small front porch to watch the Badlands sunrise and all the space you need to set up camp around the cabin.

The sizes of each cabin vary a little bit, but they all sleep 8. Linens are provided at each one as well.

Grand Dakota Cabin

The largest of our three cabin options, this cabin sleeps 8 like the rest, but gives you a little more room to stretch out. It's at the campground, but it's more like "glamping" than what TR did here in Medora.

  • The Grand Dakota Cabin features 2 private bedrooms with full-sized beds and a living area space with a counter top, mini fridge, microwave, and a queen futon (comfortably sized for children). There's also a loft with a queen size mattress -- talk about fun for the kiddos.

  • A seperate bathroom with shower makes cleaning up after your Badlands adventure a breeze.

  • We skipped adding a TV to the cabin because we figured you'd be busy soaking in the great outdoors!

  • Linens and dishes for 6 are provided. The building is non-smoking and no pets.

Modern Campground Cabin

Our mid-size cabin that still sleeps 8. It has air conditioning, a kitchenette with a full size fridge, microwave, and sink. Plus a private bathroom with shower. No TV -- we're in the Badlands after all. We suggest enjoying the front porch or the great outdoors instead.

  • Sleeping arrangements include a bedroom with a full bed, a sleeping loft with a full sized mattress (comfortablly sized for children), and two queen sized futons.

  • The front porch of our Modern Cabin is great for a Badlands sunrise or sunset -- whichever suits your fancy.

  • Linens and dishes for 6 are provided. The building is non-smoking and no pets.

Rustic Campground Cabin

This is our most rustic cabin experience -- but still a fun one. The Rustic Cabin is a stripped-down, one room cabin with air conditioning that sleeps up to 8, but offers the best outdoor-cabin experience when sleeping 4-5 people.

  • The Rustic Cabin works best as a simple place for you and your group to grab some ZZZs.

  • Sleeping accommodations include three twin bunks, a full size bunk, a queen size futon and a loft with a full sized mattress (comfortably sized for children).

  • Campground bathroom and shower facilities are available for use for Rustic Cabin guests.

  • Linens provided. The building is nonsmoking and no pets.
