Stay and play in Medora like Theodore Roosevelt did!
Nestled along the Little Missouri River, our three cabins inside the Medora Campground will make your Medora adventure feel a lot like Teddy Roosevelt's 1883 Medora excursion!
All have a small front porch to watch the Badlands sunrise and ample space to set up camp -- and a campfire -- around the cabin.
The sizes of each cabin vary a little bit, but they all sleep 8 and linens are provided. Scroll below for full specs on each cabin!

Grand Dakota Cabin
The largest of our three cabin options, this cabin sleeps 8 like the rest, but gives you a little more room to stretch out. It's at the campground, but it's more like "glamping" than what Teddy Roosevelt did here in Medora. The Grand Dakota Cabin features:
2 private bedrooms with full-sized beds and a living area space with a counter top, mini fridge, microwave, and a queen futon (comfortably sized for children). There's also a loft with a full size mattress -- talk about fun for the kiddos
- A separate bathroom with shower makes cleaning up after your Badlands adventure a breeze
- Linens and dishes for 6 are provided. The building is non-smoking and no pets
Modern Campground Cabin
Our mid-size cabin that still sleeps 8. It has air conditioning, a kitchenette with a full size fridge, microwave, and sink. Plus a private bathroom with shower
Sleeping arrangements include a bedroom with a full bed, a sleeping loft with a full sized mattress (comfortablly sized for children), and two queen sized futons
The front porch of our Modern Cabin is great for a Badlands sunrise or sunset -- whichever suits your fancy
Linens and dishes for 6 are provided. The building is non-smoking and no pets
Rustic Campground Cabin
This is our most rustic cabin experience -- but still a fun one. The Rustic Cabin is a stripped-down, one room cabin with air conditioning that sleeps up to 8, but offers the best outdoor-cabin experience when sleeping 4-5 people.
The Rustic Cabin works best as a simple place for you and your group to grab some ZZZs
Sleeping accommodations include three twin bunks, a full size bunk, a queen size futon and a loft with a full sized mattress (comfortably sized for children)
Campground bathroom and shower facilities are available for use for Rustic Cabin guests
Linens provided. The building is nonsmoking and no pets
No TV is provided in our three Medora Campground Cabins. We encourage you to get out into the Badlands and explore historic Medora. You can do so by:
Renting mountain bikes at Dakota Cyclery
Catching one of our four new shows at the Old Town Hall Theater
Exploring the Harold Schafer Heritage Center or Chateau de Mores
Campground cabins proudly owned and operated by the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation.
