Life Skills Center

The heart of the Life Skills Center project stems from Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation's commitment to continually improve and expand learning experiences for employees. This is the anchor for a campus that positively changes our ability to deliver even more outstanding service to visitors to Medora and so far, it has done just that!

Case Statement

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation foresees the addition of the Life Skills Center campus drawing more successful, motivated young adults to spend a summer working for North Dakota's #1 tourist destination than ever before.

Many former summer employees tell us that their work experience in Medora was "the best summer of my life". They also tell us that the skills they learned through their job performance, social interactions, and leadership opportunities, were all factors in the positive evaluation of their summer learning experience.

Just like Paige

With the integration of many foreign employees in our labor force over the past several years, Medora summer employees are also afforded a tremendous opportunity to become friends with people and learn about cultures from around the world.

Life Skills Center Campus

Not only has the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation invested time into the functionality of the Life Skills Center, they have also been hard at work constructing a whole campus center.

The Life Skills Center Campus includes:

Life Skills Center complete with music rooms, employee offices, resource room, fitness room, English as a second language classrooms, and a common space. Lodging for employees and visitors at the new Elkhorn Quarters. Outdoor commons complete with a pool, volleyball court, soccer field, and common green space. As well as a student laundry facility.

These aspects establish a setting similar to a University campus while continuing to serve as a professional employment environment.

Sponsoring the Life Skills Center or the new Elkhorn Quarters will provide student employees with opportunities to grow as leaders, students, and individuals.
