Independence Day Celebration

July 4, 2017

Celebrate the birthday of our great nation in the most magical place in North Dakota!

At 1:00pm MDT on July 4th, there will be a parade commencing on the east end of town and finishing back in that same spot. All floats are welcome. (lineup for the parade starts at 12:00 pm MDT)

Immediately following July 4th's Medora Musical performance, a professionally produced fireworks show will light up the Badlands and astound your eyes.

The fireworks will be shot from the west side of the Little Missouri River, near the Medora Campground and Family Fun Center. The best viewing area for guests will be at Medora's Chimney Park. Spectators can setup lawn chairs, blankets, etc. in the park on the East side of the river.

The firing/discharge/use of personal fireworks in the town of Medora is prohibited due to high fire-risk conditions.

Here's a sneak peek of Independence Day in Medora!

Before the Musical, catch a parade!

After the Musical, the sky lights up!
